This interventional study was performed to determine the role of increased emergency department capacity in admission rate during disasters in Ahvaz Naft hospital, 2013. Then an executive program was prepared to increase capacity including providing necessary equipments for critical condition , training the personnel, anticipating needs for crisis time, and making the required changes in the emergency department physical space. After 6 months, the progress and implementation of the program was evaluated by two crisis maneuvers.
